This loop is designed to reveal Tenerife gradually, letting the landscape shift in clear steps rather than abrupt contrasts. The ride begins by climbing from the warm south coast into the higher, cooler air of Vilaflor, a quiet mountain village surrounded by pine forest and volcanic soil. The road is steady rather than aggressive, encouraging a relaxed rhythm where posture, throttle and line all settle naturally. From here, the route continues toward El Portillo, where the first wide views begin to open and the profile of Mount Teide comes into focus.

The first highlight is the panoramic ridge at Mirador de Chipeque, where the island’s famous cloud-sea forms beneath you. Continuing across the high plateau, the caldera edge at Teide Caldera Border offers a broad and open perspective; the lava fields and long lines of tarmac encourage smooth cornering and tempo control rather than speed.

The descent through Boca Tauce and into the terraces surrounding Chío gently reintroduces vegetation and village life. Overnight options in Costa Adeje provide secure parking and easy access to the restaurants listed below.

Day Two moves west along the dramatic Atlantic cliffs of Los Gigantes, where the rock walls drop sharply into the sea. The road climbs again through Santiago del Teide and Guía de Isora, before returning south via the older, more characterful scenic line of the TF-28. The loop closes cleanly near the coast and airport, completing a balanced two-day arc of altitude, horizons and ocean edge.
