Gran Canaria Atlantic–Summits Arc (2 days · Full Loop)
Balanced sequence — coast → cliffs → ravines → summits → historic quarters · all-tarmac · motorcycle-friendly hotels with secure/garage parking
Nearest Airport(s)
LPA — Gran Canaria · ~25–45 min to Las Palmas / Maspalomas (depending on traffic).
Introduction
This two-day arc shows Gran Canaria’s contrasts without backtracking. Day one traces the ocean edge from Las Palmas via the GC-2 to the white port of Agaete, then the dramatic balcony road through the west ravines: Mirador del Balcón, the terraces around La Aldea, and the curvy GC-200 to Puerto de Mogán, closing at the south in Maspalomas. Day two climbs the central spine: palm groves and old stone in Fataga, then the pines towards Pico de las Nieves, circling the volcanic heart past Roque Nublo, Tejeda and Artenara before sweeping down through Firgas into the historic quarter of Vegueta to complete the loop.
Surfaces are consistently good; traffic lightens once you leave the resorts. Expect wind on viaducts and rapid micro-climate shifts—layers help. For food, consider ocean-facing seafood in La Caleta or tasting menus in the capital; we list only venues with live online booking forms. Parking/garages are typical at the selected hotels; still, confirm terms for motorbikes when reserving. The GPX and interactive map below show the spine, POIs and service points if you prefer to fine-tune your lines through the ravines.
