Total distance: approximately 629 km / 391 mi. Stages: 3. Best riding window: May–June and September–October.
This is the clean printable companion to the interactive roadbook: continuous ALL → Stage 1 → Stage 2 → Stage 3, with no reader tabs, hero photography or interactive-page decoration.
Leave Girona for Tossa de Mar and the cliff-hugging GI-682, where Mediterranean views alternate with tight bends and short straights. Continue through Sant Feliu de Guíxols, Palamós, Calella de Palafrugell, Begur and Pals, keeping the day focused on secondary roads rather than fast coastal transfers. North of Torroella de Montgrí the landscape opens into the Empordà plain before Sant Pere Pescador and Castelló d’Empúries. The final approach from Roses to Cadaqués becomes more exposed and technical as the terrain turns bare and wind-shaped. Tramuntana gusts can be strong, while resort traffic can slow the narrow approaches. Keep enough daylight for the arrival: Cadaqués rewards parking the motorcycle and exploring its whitewashed lanes and waterfront on foot.

The Stage’s defining coastal sequence: repeated Mediterranean viewpoints, compact bends and changing elevation before the Empordà opens out.
The fortified Vila Vella above the bay gives the clearest single image of the Costa Brava character of Stage 1.
A whitewashed waterfront arrival framed by Cap de Creus hills; park the motorcycle and finish the day on foot along the bay.
Protect time for the final exposed approach: rock, sea and Tramuntana-shaped landscape make this the Stage’s essential riding experience.

Cadaqués Tourism confirms Santa Maria, Casa Serinyana and the Poal waterfront; its official walking route follows El Passeig → Casa Serinyana → Platja des Poal. Full-route origin, waypoints and destination are all constrained to Cadaqués.
Leave Cadaqués across the Cap de Creus landscape towards El Port de la Selva and the access for Sant Pere de Rodes. The route then turns inland through Vilajuïga, Peralada and Figueres before reaching Besalú, whose medieval bridge makes a natural long stop. Castellfollit de la Roca introduces La Garrotxa with its basalt cliff, after which the road narrows through Montagut and Oix. The Oix–Beget–Rocabruna sequence is the technical core of the stage: tight bends, changing sight lines and small mountain settlements keep average speed low. Camprodon opens the valley again before Sant Joan de les Abadesses and the final run into Ripoll. This stage deliberately links three distinct Catalan landscapes rather than chasing a list of famous passes.

A compact mountain-road sequence through Alta Garrotxa where narrow bends, stone villages and wooded slopes define the Stage.
The medieval bridge and riverside approach create the strongest architectural photo stop on the inland Stage.
Arrive beside the monastery and historic centre, then leave the motorcycle and explore the compact old town on foot.
The monastery above the Cap de Creus landscape is the Stage’s priority heritage stop; preserve it if the schedule starts to tighten.

Visit Ripoll confirms the monastery, museum, Scriptorium and Plaça de la Lira within its official urban-route material. Full-route origin, waypoints and destination are all constrained to Ripoll.
The closing stage leaves Ripoll for wooded country around Vallfogona de Ripollès and Olot, then bends south towards the high country around Vic. From Seva and El Brull the route enters Montseny via Collformic, where forest and exposed ridges repeatedly change the riding rhythm. Continue through Viladrau and Santa Fe del Montseny; in autumn, shade, moisture and leaf litter can make these roads more demanding even when the wider forecast is dry. The final third descends through Campins and Sant Celoni, then uses Hostalric and Santa Coloma de Farners to return to Girona without repeating the Costa Brava roads from Stage 1. At roughly 278 km this is deliberately above the normal EMJ stage target, so start early and protect daylight for Montseny.
