The journey
This three-stage loop links the contrasting landscapes of South Moravia, the Czech–Austrian borderlands, Czech Canada, the Třeboň Basin and western Moravia without turning the ride into a long-distance transit exercise. From Brno, the route first explores Austerlitz country and the vineyard hills of the south-east, then crosses the Lednice–Valtice cultural landscape and Mikulov before reaching Znojmo above the Dyje.
The second stage is quieter and more wooded. Vranov nad Dyjí, Slavonice and Landštejn lead into Czech Canada, followed by the pond country around Třeboň and the Renaissance character of Jindřichův Hradec. The final day returns east through Telč, Třebíč and the Oslava valley, closing the loop through Moravský Krumlov and Dolní Kounice.
The complete loop covers approximately 514 km in total. The route is entirely designed around paved-road touring, historic towns, landscape transitions and frequent cultural stops rather than high-speed mileage.
